Events In Rotterdam
If you’re looking for a sporting event to visit or just fancy a trip to another country then Rotterdam in the Netherlands is the place for you. It’s easy to get to, plenty happening through out the city and two very big sporting events happening this year. The Tour De France is kicking off from Rotterdam this year plus right now the ATP World Tennis Tour is on going this week with some top class players competing. There’s plenty of ways to get to Rotterdam with company’s never short of ferry bookings or flight tickets.
Firstly I would like to start with the Tour De France which is happening in July. It’s the fifth time it’s been in Holland and the whole place is very excited about it especially the residents of Rotterdam. The Grand Start is the 10th of July with different things happening around the area then the cyclists start on the 13th in the 98th edition of this tournament.
Secondly but definitely not the least is the ATP World Tennis Tour which starts on the 8th of February through till the 14th. The tournament its self has been on going from 1974 with the first winner a well known Dutch man Tom Okker. This tournament is watched all over the world. There’s top stars involved this year including world number two Novak Djokovic, Robert Soderling and Nikolay Davydenko just to name a few.
